The latest news on new Liverpool powerful midfielder Marko Grujic has admitted to feeling pain when he trains.
Grujic was signed by Liverpool in a deal worth 5.1 million but was loaned back to his current club Red Star Belgrade for the remaining of the season.
The dominative midfielder has been sidelined for over a month now through a thigh injury. The 19 year-old Serbian international also missed the international games between Estonia and Poland last month due to his thigh problem.
However Grujic has now resumed training with the rest of the Red Star squad but still feels pain when training.
“I finally did full training with the rest of the team so this is a big step forward,” he told Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport.
“I still feel a slight pain.”
“Also, I feel fear in my head but that’s typical in such cases.”
He continued, “When I go into a full sprint, I’m afraid that something will break.”
“But it’s not a cause for concern.
“I’ve done the training.”
The midfielder is in line for a return to action in the play-off clash with local rivals Partizan on April 16.
He added, “The fans can expect that I will be fully ready for the derby,”
“We’ll see if the coach gives me a chance.”
This is great news for the Red Star Belgrade fans.
