Manchester City To Pay Liverpool For Reaching The Semi-Final Of The Champions League

The Reds will receive £300k from the citizens because of provisions inserted in Raheem Sterling’s transfer deal last summer.

According to the Telegraph, Manchester City and Liverpool had several clauses inserted in the deal that would see Sterling move to the Etihad.

One of the measures was based on City’s advancement to the semi-finals of the champions league, which could rise even more if they won the competition.

Liverpool received £44million up front form ManCity for the signing of Sterling the England winger, and will obtain a further £5million in performance related bonuses.
