According to the Mirror, the Reds have entered the race to sign Marseille’s £30m, 22 year-old striker Michy Batshuayi.
The forward who was signed from Belgian Pro League side Standard Liege in the summer of 2014 is now one of the most sought after strikers in Europe having scored 24 goals for club and country so far this season.
Reports claim Liverpool Manager see the striker as a cheaper option to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been priced at £75m.
However, Liverpool have two Belgian strikers on their books already, Christian Benteke and Divock Origi. It is suggested that Jurgen Klopp sees Batshuayi as an alternative to Christan Benteke, who has struggled to settle at Anfield and does not fit into the manager’s style of play.
The Mirror also states that Juventus, West Ham and Tottenham have all shown interest in the forward.
