According to several reports, Liverpool FC are looking into the possibility of bringing Naby Keita to Anfield this month rather than in the summer. However, the Bundesliga side Leipzig, are unwilling to let Keita go mid-way through the season.
The Reds reached an agreement with Leipzig during the summer transfer window for Keita to move to Anfield at the end of this season. It is understood that Liverpool are considering paying an additional fee to speed up the deal that will bring Guinean Keita to Anfield this month.
Coutinho’s big-money move to Barcelona is thought to have changed Liverpool FC’s stance. This would be a good move for Liverpool as it would give Keita a bedding in period and a chance to get used to playing with his new teammates ahead of next season.
The Reds are always linked with a host of players, the likes of Thomas Lemar, Dani Ceballos, Kevin Strootman, Leon Goretzkain, Gelson Martins and not to forget Riyad Mahrez, all top quality players.
Jurgen Klopp has strengthened his defence with the addition of Virgil van Dijk for £75m, and after the £145m sale of Coutinho to Barcelona, the Liverpool manager will look to strengthen his squad further by looking for a replacement for creative Brazilian.
