Liverpool scouts have been running the books over Paris Saint-Germain Javier Pastore. The attacking midfielder who is also being tracked by Chelsea is the latest player to be linked with a move to Liverpool.
Javier Pastore joined PSG on a big money move in 2011, and became an integral player for the Ligue 1 side. In 2014/15 season the elegant midfielder scored five goals and contributed with eight assists as PSG went on to win the league title.
The Argentine is a creative play maker who can be used in various positions. He can be deployed on either flanks, but his preferred position is in central midfield where he can be most effective.
2015/16 season has been a difficult one for Pastore who has had his fair share of injuries and has managed just 10 starts for PSG. Also the arrival of Angel di Maria in a £44m move from Manchester United has seen his chances of first team football restricted.
Liverpool’s chief scout, Kevin Hunt, was impressed with Pastore during his scouting mission to France, the skilful attacking Argentine has been highly recommended.
It is claimed PSG are looking at offers in the region of £19.6million for a deal to be done.
