Liverpool Charged By UEFA For Fireworks Offence After Dortmund Win

Liverpool are to face UEFA disciplinary charges after last weeks second leg quarter-finals against Borussia Dortmund. A Flare was thrown on the pitch at Anfield after the late winner. Charges were also brought against the club in the first leg of the quarter-finals at Dortmund for away fans supposedly blocking stairways. 

The Reds were also facing charges relating to fireworks offences and crowd disturbances in the earlier rounds of the competition. 

In the last 16 triumph over bitter rivals Manchester United the Liverpool FC were charged with illicit chanting, objects being thrown, crowd disturbances and firework offences.

The charges will be heard on May 19th by the UEFA disciplinary panel.
