Everton Entertain Liverpool in tonight’s Merseyside Derby. Both teams won their last games in midweek with Liverpool winning convincingly against Middlesbrough, while Everton came from behind against Arsenal.
Everton will take great courage from that performance, and will go into tonight’s game with confidence. Ronald Koeman side started the season well but have since struggled to maintain their form. However, the hosts are undefeated in in their last eleven league games at home with the last four derbies ending in stalemate. Everton are 9th in the league, 6 points behind their rivals in the league table.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are playing some really good football under charismatic manager Jurgen Klopp. The reds have some injury worries but have managed to maintain their form coming into tonight’s game.
Liverpool football Club, manager and staff, the players and especially the fans will be looking forward to tonight’s game. I know as I sit here writing this article I simply cannot wait for kick-off.
The way I see it, the reds play just as well away from home as they do at home. Sloppy defending and lack of concentration cost us points, but all-in-all, I am more than happy with the team’s performances so far this season.
Jurgen Klopp has his team well drilled, with the likes of Firmino, Mane, Lallana interchanging positions, making it difficult for the opposition. With Divock Origi Liverpool have a goal scorer up front.
I have no worries about who will play in defence, simply because the manager Jurgen Klopp will want to win this game, and whoever plays today will be up for the battle. Predicting the outcome of this will be difficult, let’s hope for a win and a cracking game of football.
